Since Surface Blasting was established in 1979, the founder member, Ernie Du Plessis, has forged an enviable reputation in the civil engineering industry in Southern Africa for quick, safe and efficient blasting services.

In 2008 Haydn Du Plessis took over the sole membership of the company with Ernie du Plessis remaining as chairman in an advisory capacity.

We carry our own public liability insurance and always have a health and safety plan in place.
